Poppie Harris missed a call from her agent, again. She was tired of digging for her phone at the bottom of her bag - so she took action. The
26-year-old actress and designer created her own poppiebag, and a few for her friends -big enough for a cell phone, credit card and lipgloss
but small enough to hang on a purse strap or belt. No sooner had she finished her first samples, though, did she get her first order. "I was at
my doctor's office, and the women in the waiting room noticed my poppiebag. They wanted to know if it came in fuchsia or periwinkle."

She knew she was on to something that day when she came home with a stack of orders for bags she didn't have. After getting production
lined up, she got interest from boutiques and stores and before six months were up, she was represented throughout the country including
boutiques in the Bay Area, New York, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas and major department stores Henri Bendel and Bergdorf Goodman in
New York and Barneys in New York and Los Angeles.
